Narberth county is Pembrokeshire located in West Wales and one of the first stops on a road trip from South Wales to West Wales. Narberth is a quaint market town full of colourful Edwardian buildings.

The best way to reach Narberth is by car following the A48 and A40 (from East) and A487 and A478 (from West / North).

For real pizza Narberth is home to Top Joe’s (another branch can be found in nearby town Tenby). You can get Narberth pizza to takeaway or at their restaurant on the high street and it is the best pizza I’ve had in Pembrokeshire. I also enjoyed a delicious Italian desert here in the Summer.

3. Shaad

Shaad is the restaurant to visit to sit in and takeaway for Indian Narberth. Found in Narberth town centre and open in evenings only.

In the back is a popular tapas bar that is one of the best restaurants in Narberth! Be sure to book ahead as this place fills up very quickly and rarely free for walk-ins.

6. Madtom Seafood Cafe Bar

As far as restaurants Narberth have for selling seafood, Madtom is a cut above the rest. Using locally sourced Pembrokeshire fish and offering Vegan options, you can enjoy your food in the outdoor greenhouses. If you’re feeling fancy, get the lobster!

7. The Peppercorn Restaurant 

Fancy a steakhouse? Head to The Peppercorn, one the best restaurants in Narberth Wales! This is also a good option for burgers, pub grub and a cocktail or two.

8. Hwb Narberth

Hwb is the new best thing to hit the streets of this town. Self-proclaimed as an ‘open tap and food hall’, this centre houses four restaurants in one including street food and local craft beer. This place reminds me of Goodsheds in Barry and Depot in Cardiff. Get here for a mix of food, live music and a collaborative eating space with humans and pets!

Narberth Cafe and Deli

There’s boutique cafes that double as antique shops and the most Welsh deli and butchers you’ll find, all on the high street too for something other than restaurants in Narberth Pembrokeshire.

9. Fforc Welsh Deli Narberth

You will not find a more local or better deli in Pembrokeshire than Fforc! They make the most delicious and fresh lobster roll (in season), sell the best Welsh sea salt from Anglesey and provide Pembrokeshire honey for patrons lucky enough to find this beauty!

10. Liz’s Bakery

Make the mistake of walking on by Liz’s and miss out on the best home-made, juicy cakes in Narberth town! Both takeaway options and seating area in the back, you can enjoy Liz’s Bakery for a pastry or for lunch from the many options they have including salads, enchiladas (I can personally recommend this) and baguettes. I took a seat on the blue bench across the road to enjoy my Enchilada watching the Narberth locals.

11. Plum Vanilla Cafe

If you’re looking for a Narberth coffee shop or a cafe for breakfast, head to Plum Vanilla Cafe in the centre of town. The cafe is equally as pleasing for brunch as it is pleasing on the eye with its funky colours and decorations, situated next to colourful vintage store, RocknRolla.

I always stay in a nearby Narberth caravan park which is ideal because it’s just a 5 minute drive into Narberth Pembrokeshire centre and there are many Narberth caravan parks around the area to choose from which adds to the perfect West Wales staycation.

For Narberth hotels, one of the best places to stay in Narberth is in the centre of town called 32 Townhouse which doubles as Top Joe’s pizzeria. Or Ty Waldon which is also centre of Narberth. For a more upscale stay, try The Grove.

The main high street has the main Narberth supermarket plus Spar and Costcutter for Narberth shopping.
