Embracing new culture is one of the things I do everywhere I travel. It’s definitely something I want to do when living in another place. Living and working in Melbourne is my first plan for my Australian Working Holiday Visa and therefore I am embracing the brunch culture in Melbourne life.

What is Bottomless Brunch?

Bottomless brunch is a genius idea and has taken social gatherings to a new height. It consists of a gathering of people who meet up with the same goal of basically getting drunk. You pay a fixed amount of money and you can eat brunch while having unlimited drinks. It differs between countries but the UK and Australia seem to be on par that the ‘bottomless’ part is drinks (not unlimited food).

There are so many options for Melbourne bottomless brunch and Fargo & Co is a popular place for brunch in Richmond.

On arrival at Fargo & Co

Walking with heads down to avoid the gushing winds, we were halted by queues of people outside the venue, waiting to get their brunch on! Dressed to impress, no-one could wait for that sweet first sip of mimosa. Greeted by staff, we were taken upstairs for the rooftop brunch to begin.

We were given small purple, squared cards that entitled us to one brunch item per person to be handed to the staff when placing our order at the bar. For drinks, we were given black bands around our wrists that let the staff know we’d paid in advance.

Our food was brought to our table but we went to the bar to get drinks each time. You can choose between any of the drinks; you don’t have to stick to the same one (usually places want you to have the same drink every time).

Is Brunch at Fargo & Co worth it?

We enjoyed our afternoon, the roof closing and opening to match the usual unpredictable Melbourne weather. There was a Fargo and Co DJ near us playing a mix of songs to keep the atmosphere alive and it was overall a fabulous time for my first bottomless brunch.

I can’t wait to experience more brunch in Melbourne!

If you’re looking for where to go for brunch in Melbourne, I’d recommend Fargo and Co in Richmond because it offers a variety of food options, live music, bottomless brunch for three hours (usually places are only for two hours), and overall good vibe.

Enjoy Brunchin’
