About Emily in Paris
Emily is an American who gets the chance to move to Paris for her career in marketing and work for an American/French company called Savoir. It follows Emily as she navigates working in a Parisian office, living in Paris and making new friends, love-interests and a new life.
It’s about love, friendship, careers, fashion, living abroad, culture-clash and Paris.
Paris not only serves as the setting, filming location and title of the series, it is as much a character as Emily Cooper is.
Emily in Paris was created by Darren Star who also created Sex and The City, Melrose Place and Beverly Hills 90210!
How to Use This Emily in Paris Guide:
With over 60 filming locations, it can be difficult to navigate them through the city of Paris so I’ve made a map with all the locations pinned.
I’ll start with the iconic Emily in Paris famous locations like her apartment and office and then the rest of the locations will be listed under the Emily in Paris season in which they first appeared. Then the address and Arrondissement and ending with a quote.

19) Canal Saint-Martin
Emily and Thomas go on a double date with Camille and Gabriel where Thomas’ prentious attitude puts Gabriel right off him. And us!
Don’t listen to Thomas and take a stroll on this beautiful canal in Paris.
Lulu La Nantaise is the restaurant they go to after the walk.
During season 3, Emily and Gabriel have drinks on a wall of this canal outside the Canaletto Cafe.
10th Arrondissement
‘It’s a shame how popular it’s gotten. None of the charm it had before’

21) Hôtel Plaza Athénée
When Emily has to look after Brooklyn Clarke, the self-entitled celebrity, she visits her multiple times at the chic Hotel Plaza Athenee where she is staying during episode 7.
This is also our introduction to Mathieu Cadault.

In season 2, Sylvie and her husband, Laurent meet to discuss business at a restaurant located in this luxurious hotel.

‘Yeah, happy endings are very American’
22) Musée des Arts Forains
Another Savoir event and this time at the Museum of Fairground Arts which includes vintage funfair amusements like rides and carousels.

‘Would you like a creme brulee?’
In the following episode, the museum is once again used as the location of Pierre’s fashion show during Paris Fashion Week.
‘Were you just trying to have it all? That is so American’
‘I love it. I mean who wouldn’t right?’
The best way to see Paris? From the River Seine by boat like Emily and Mathieu do in episode 10 (I did this one)!
26) Pont des Arts
This Parisian bridge was once the lovelock bridge but all the locks were removed because they were too heavy! Although it’s been seen throughout the show in shots, during episode 10, Emily and Sylvie meet to discuss Pierre’s upcoming show.
Mindy and her band also perform on this bridge in season 2 which is very believable as when I visited I saw several buskers entertaining passer-bys.
‘I like Paris, but I’m not really sure Paris likes me’
If this bridge looks familiar, it’s because it was the bridge where Carrie and Big finally got together. Find more Sex in The City locations in Paris here!

Another Maison Lavaux event takes place in this shopping centre during S2, E9.

Luc takes Emily to the cinema as he explains there’s no better way to learn French. He interestingly takes her to see Jules and Jim, the movie about menage a trois (which runs concurrent to the menage a trois storyline of Emily, Gabriel and Camille).
This is my favourite Emily in Paris filming location season 2 gives us as it’s a beautiful theatre and it was right ’round the corner from my Paris accommodation in the Latin Quarter.

‘It’s the cinema capital of the world’
36) Fontaine Saint-Michel
Also located in the Latin Quarter is the Fontaine Saint-Michel where Mindy performs her first gig with Benoit and Etienne which turns out to be busking. Then a mime turns up. She joins in. And the crowd goes wild.

‘Mimes are an occupational hazard. They always steal our tips’
37) Breakfast in America
In S2, E5 aptly named ‘An Englishman in Paris’, Alfie comes into Emily’s life and therefore part of Emily in Paris. Yay for the viewer.
And their first meet-up outside the classroom is a diner called Breakfast in America. The setting suits Emily and Alfie’s conversation perfectly as Alfie rubbishes life in Paris as he’s there for work only while eating in an American-style diner and Emily praises the beauty of Paris that she loves.
Address: 17 Rue des Écoles, 75005 Paris | 5th Arrondissement
‘This place is portrayed as this end-all-be-all of romantic settings in books, movies, and Instagram, right? But the reality is, choking on cigarette smoke, sidewalks covered in dog *, and tourist traps’.
P.s. Don’t let Alfie’s stereotypical British stiff upper lip keep you from visiting Paris. It’s actually an amazing city that I found to be a charming setting I hope I’m portraying on my blog!
38) Tortuga Galeries
Located on the roof of Galeries Lafayettes with epic views of the Palais Royal, Emily meets with Camille for a ‘fresh start’ after their last few awkward meetings and Camille manipulates her into making a ‘pact’.

Address: Place des Vosges, 75004 Paris | 4th Arrondissement
‘You happened’
41) The Bombardier
The Emily and Alfie story continues over a ‘traveler’ beer from The Bombardier, an English-style pub in Paris’ Latin Quarter while they get to know each other on the way to French class.
Alfie says things like ‘on the lash’, ‘hunky-dory’ and ‘nicked’ making Emily say ‘the more you drink, the more British you sound’. True story.
Address: Place du Pantheon, 2 Pl. du Panthéon, 75005 Paris | 5th Arrondissement
‘To drink while you’re travelling to the next bar’
42) Place de l’Odéon
I really think Sylvie’s character shines in season 2 and while dating Erik, they go on a date at Place de l’Odeon for an ice-cream while discussing their language skills.
This is also the first mention of Rome when Sylvie says she used to live there and Erik suggests spending a weekend there. Foreshadowing the future season storyline perhaps?
Then they run into Antoine and his wife, Catherine who are eating at a nearby restaurant, La Méditerranée.
Address: Place de l’Odéon, 75006 | 6th Arrondissement
‘I love how our personalities change when we speak different languages’

‘I couldn’t give a flying * how silly you think I look’

Address: 102 Bd du Montparnasse, 75014 Paris | 14th Arrondissement
‘I stayed for you’
49) Pont Neuf
Where else would the season 2 finale end but with our protagonist pondering life on a Parisian bridge? This time it’s Pont Neuf and Emily needs to decide whether to stay with her American mentor at Savoir or join her new French colleagues at Sylvie’s new firm, Agence Grataeu.
‘It’s funny that Pont Neuf means new bridge when it’s the oldest one in the city’
The season leaves us on a cliffhanger paving the way for season 3 which means Emily in Paris filming locations season 3 incoming…
Emily in Paris Locations Season 3
50) Emily in Paris McDonald’s Location
Emily gets a phone call from her ex, Doug with an offer to work with McDonalds to launch the McBaguette via her marketing firm. Gabriel takes her to the branch on Champs-Elysees which is catered to the French palette.

Address: 84 Av. des Champs-Élysées, 75008 Paris | 8th Arrondissement

53) The Louvre
Specifically at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs located in the Louvre is the latest addition to an event surrounding Pierre Cadault and another place to visit Emily in Paris locations.
Fashionistas will love this scene because Emily is wearing one of her outrageous outfits that we can’t look away from and her two bosses turn up in the exact same dress. In real life, the museum is home to decorative arts and plays host to major fashion shows.
1st Arrondissement
‘I’m just stealing your shine as per usual’
‘Take it, I have too much’
Get your Louvre tickets in advance to see this part of the museum for yourself!
54) Le Temps des Cerises
Another beautiful Parisian restaurant where Sylvie, Julian and Luc meet to discuss their futures is Le Temps des Cerises.
The scene opens with a violinist playing as the three agree to continue with Agence Grateau instead of going back to Savoir and have a heartwarming hug while they dance and walk down the street. One of my favourite moments!

55) Quai des Célestins
The three head to a Fete de la Musique show on Quai des Celestins to celebrate the solstice and watch Mindy and her band perform. Also there are Gabriel, Camille, Emily and Alfie.

Address: 5 Pl. de l’Opéra, 75009 Paris | 9th Arrondissement
‘Every Bonjour they say is so loaded’
57) Four Seasons Hotel George V
This is the grand hotel, that will cost you grands to stay in, that Madeline calls her home while in Paris. Specifically she stays in the Eiffel Tower Suite with THAT view.
Emily decides to remain in Paris rather than going back to Chicago as she looks out of that inspiring view. Emily in Paris has a good way to using the scenery of the city as backdrops when Emily makes decisions.
If you want inspiration, check the Four Seasons Hotel George V availability here.
Address: 31 Av. George V, 75008 Paris | 8th Arrondissement
‘I’m running towards the life I want. And that’s here. In Paris’
58) Basilique du Sacre-Coeur
Basilique du Sacre-Coeur is one of the most beautiful spots in all of Paris but also one of the busiest! This epic building is another Emily in Paris Montmartre location where Emily does a live Instagram video at the start of S3, E4.
Address: 35 Rue du Chevalier de la Barre, 75018 Paris | 18th Arrondissement
‘Agence Grateau aims to please’
59) Parc des Buttes Chaumont
This is one of the Emily in Paris locations I didn’t visit but sincerely regret because it looks adorable but I just didn’t have the time. Emily has the time though as she’s unemployed so her and Alfie have a cute picnic in this park.
19th Arrondissement
‘S in the middle of the day? I love steak-frites’
60) Tuileries Garden
Emily meets Luc and Julian at Cafe des Marronniers in front of the Roule de Paris (Ferris Wheel) while toasting to Emily’s unemployment with Kir Royale.
Later in this episode, Emily and Mindy ride bumper cars at the la Fête des Tuileries also held at Tuileries Garden.
1st Arrondissement
‘The perfect drink to sip and do nothing as the ferris wheel turns’
61) Alfie’s Apartment
Alfie hosts a party at his chic apartment and we see Nicolas and Sofia turn up at the party with particular interests (romantic of course, this is Emily in Paris). Emily then catches Sofia and Camille kissing on the building roof.
Address: Rue Lucien Sampaix | 10th Arrondissement
‘Technially on British soil’
62) Molitor Pool
Nicolas invites Mindy and Emily to a launch event at a pool party and Emily convinces the DJ to play Benoit’s song which impresses Nicolas. Or is it the one singing that impresses him?
This once public pool is nowadays the Hôtel Molitor Paris-MGallery.
Address: 13 Rue Nungesser et Coli, 75016 Paris | 16th Arrondissement
‘Are you taking unsolicited photos for your Instagram again?’
63) Le Relais de la Butte
After Benoit is mad with Mindy over the song being used for a suncream advert, she discusses the situation with Emily and Alfie over breakfast in Montmarte.
Croissants and coffee on the table? Welcome to Paris.
Address: 12 Rue Ravignan, 75018 Paris | 18th Arrondissement
‘I guess all these endless selfies are paying off’
64) Grande Halle de la Villette
Emily, Gabriel, Mindy and Nicolas meet for an outdoor cinema experience watching How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days (I love that film)!
Later, Emily and Gabriel visit a Pop Up Air Balloon Museum in one of the most fun and aesthetically-pleasing scenes in all of the Emily in Paris filming locations season 3 has.
The hall and outside the hall where these two scenes take place used to be a slaughterhouse but is now a cultural centre hosting pop-ups like these.
Address: 211 Av. Jean Jaurès, 75019 Paris | 19th Arrondissement
‘Oh, so this is a date?’
65) Le Vauban
Agence Grateau meet with Nicolas at Le Vauban, a chic Emily in Paris cafe location, to discuss working with Pierre Cadault but Nicolas breaks the news that JVMA want to replace Pierre.
This is a scene where it feels like the line between professional and personal relationship with Pierre is blurred. Then more like splattered when Pierre is run over.
Address: 7 Pl. Vauban, 75007 Paris | 7th Arrondissement
‘Put it back on ice’
66) Nicolas’s Apartment
Well, talk about the mother of all apartment views. Mindy, who has clearly stayed the night, chats with Nicolas on the rooftop of his suite and the view of the Eiffel Tower is astonishing.
HELP! Does anyone know where this location is? Some have said it’s SoParis Hotel but it’s too far away from the Eiffel Tower to be correct. Please let me know in the comments so I can update this.
67) Le Meurice
Emily in Paris hotel locations really are the best of the best. The latest to the list is the Le Meurice hotel restaurant when Sylvie meets with Nicolas’s father, Louis. Sylvie remembers how Louis mistreated his staff and his continuation in the series reveals he has not changed.
Address: 228 Rue de Rivoli, 75001 Paris | 1st Arrondissement
‘I remember everything. And I certainly hope you have changed’
68) Gare du Nord
Emily surprises Alfie on his return to Paris from meeting his family and reveals that he hasn’t told his family about her yet.
10th Arrondissement
‘This is all me’
69) The Wall of Love
Emily takes Gabriel here as a location suggestion for him to propose to Camille and Agence Grateau can capture the moment for a future advert.
Tip: This is a lovely location to visit on your trip to Paris (although I didn’t see ‘Caru ti’, the Welsh for I Love You ;). It’s also very close to a vintage photobooth in Montmarte.
Address: Square Jehan Rictus, 14 Pl. des Abbesses, 75018 Paris | 18th Arrondissement
‘I fell in love with you the minute I saw you. How could I not?’
70) Le Grand Véfour
We saw this Michelin star restaurant as one of the Emily in Paris season 1 locations but Emily made the reservation for the wrong year so we never saw them actually eat at the restaurant.
In season 3, however, Sylvie, Julien and Luc have a casual lunch here where Julien moans about Emily.
Address: 17 Rue de Beaujolais, 75001 Paris | 1st Arrondissement
‘Like a tiny little vulture in a crop top’
71) Musée d’Orsay
Many TV shows and films use this museum as a filming location especially because of the clock backdrop. Gabriel and Camille come here for a date and they ends up proposing to eachother.
Fun fact: Emily in Paris director, Andrew Fleming, said that he wanted to film here from the start so was excited to include the location for this big season 3 moment.
Address: Esplanade Valéry Giscard d’Estaing, 75007 Paris | 7th Arrondissement
‘Do you remember we had one of our first dates here?’
Ensure you get tickets to Musée d’Orsay in advance!
72) Chez Julien
Mindy and Emily meet for lunch at the celebrity hotspot, Chez Julien, when they spot Camille and Sophia arguing.
This is also another GG in Paris location.
Address: 1 Rue du Pont Louis-Philippe, 75004 Paris | 4th Arrondissement
‘Recipe? There are no recipes’
Emily in Paris Filming Locations Season 4
73) Boulevard de Grenelle
After the drama at the end of season 3, Alfie needs time away from Emily. But not for long as while walking down Boulevard de Grenelle, he sees a giant poster of him and Emily on a hot air balloon as part of a ‘Love is in the Air’ campaign.
15th Arrondissement
‘You came to Paris and brought out the sunshine for everyone’
74) Temple-Noble Art Boxing Gym
Like rubbing salt in the wound, Emily turns up at the boxing gym where Alfie is training and distracts him so he ends up being knocked to the floor.
Address: 5 Rue de la Croix Nivert, 75015 Paris | 15th Arrondissement
‘But I love Paris. So I plan to be here often’
75) Stade Roland Garros
This is the famous Parisian tennis stadium that hosts the yearly French Open tournament.
Season 4 Emily in Paris starts with filming at this sought-after location when the gang continue the ‘Love is in the Air’ campaign with kissing cameras around the stadium and Emily and Alfie’s parting kiss.
‘Hey, we’ll always be the AMI couple’
76) Vestiaire Collective
The pre-loved store where Mindy returns her outfit from Nicolas after learning that he wanted her to dress a certain way and not be herself. And she gets a payday from it!
Address: 53 Rue de Châteaudun, 75009 Paris | 9th Arrondissement
‘Our food is for everyone’
77) Luc’s Houseboat
Named Petrus III, Luc lives on a houseboat aka a peniche in Paris and during season 4 we see him back with Marianne and hanging her lingerie off the side of his boat.
Address: Bassin de l’Arsenal
‘My feelings for you haven’t changed’
78) Galerie-Musée Baccarat
The scene with one of Emily in Paris iconic outfits, the black and white dress at the masquerade ball, in season 4 was filmed at Musee Baccarat.
Emily and Gabriel finally get together. And Luc asks Marianne to move in with him!
Address: 11 Pl. des États-Unis, 75116 Paris | 16th Arrondissement
‘Masks go on, truth comes out’
79) Theatre du Renard
The Theatre du Renard is a function room in the Syndicat de l’Epicerie Francaise building in Paris. This is the filming location Emily in Paris used for Laurent and Sylvie’s nightclub that was once owned by Sylvie’s mother.
Several scenes were used here for the club events including the opening beach club party when Gregory shows up with his new line of clothing. IYKYK
Address: 12 Rue du Renard, 75004 Paris | 4th Arrondissement
‘The Queen of the Night, in her place’
80) L’Ambroisie
Luc’s girlfriend, Marianne, works as s Michelin inspector and is therefore able to pull strings and get impossible reservations so Sylvie asks Luc to get her a table for Laurent’s birthday.
At the dinner, Luc asks for a pay rise but Sylvie says it is inappropriate. More inappropriate is when Marianne is ousted by a former colleague that she is a fraud and fired for ‘insider dining’.
L’Ambroisie has held 3 Michelin stars since 1988 and the name means ‘food for gods’ in Greek mythology so you know you’ll be getting top-notch French cuisine here. I didn’t visit as expected but please let me know if you’ve been and what I missed 🙁
Address: 9 Pl. des Vosges, 75004 Paris | 4th Arrondissement
‘A reservation. At a place where it’s impossible to get a table’
81) Le Marche Aux Puces de Paris Saint-Ouen
Camille and Sofia stroll through a charming Parisian outdoor market looking for furniture for their new place together. But it looks like they’re on different pages about what should go into the apartment.
To visit this market in real life, it’s only open on Saturdays and Sundays and you’ll find over 1500 vendors.
P.s. I LOVE Camille’s outfit in this scene.
‘I thought we were being practical’
82) Bouillon Chartier
When researching some of the best steak frites in Paris, Bouillon Chartier came up a lot. Sadly, we never got the chance to visit here. But Emily and Gabriel did when he introduces her to his friends after-hours.
This is so true-to-life if you’re in the hospitality industry where you drink and play games after the restaurant/bar closes with just staff and invited-only guests. It’s a moment I recognise that Emily is important to Gabriel by taking her here.
Address: 59 Bd du Montparnasse, 75006 Paris | 6th Arrondissement
‘Your life will change. It already has’
83) Galeries Lafayette
Agence Grateau’s newest client, Kadience, launches their glass-skin face cream at this Parisian department store when the team discover the ingredients are concerning. The innuendos they say are so funny once you know.
This is used as another Emily in Paris filming location in part 2 of season 4 when Sylvie’s mum visits La Wellness Galerie, the largest of its kind in Europe.
I’ve been to many department stores like Harrods in London and Macy’s in New York but nothing compares to the decor of Galeries Lafayette in Paris. If there’s one thing that the French know, it’s style.
Address: 40 Bd Haussmann, 75009 Paris | 9th Arrondissement
‘This is some face cream’
They all go to Megeve over Christmas. Emily says her favourite movie is The Sound of Music filmed in Austria but she says Megeve feels like the film!
84) Maison de la Truffe
Another Emily in Paris restaurant and this time its the ‘black diamond’ restaurant when Emily takes Genevieve to lunch and bumps into First Lady of France, Brigitte Macron who once retweeted her.
If you go to Paris, eat truffles. They are SO good! I didn’t eat them at this specific restaurant but you can’t go wrong with truffles in France.
Address: 19 Pl. de la Madeleine, 75008 Paris | 8th Arrondissement
‘First Ladies who Lunch’
85) Rue de Monttessuy
Emily and her new love interest, Marcello, whom she met on the slopes of Megeve over Christmas, take a stroll and she shows him Rue de Monttessuy where she reveals she dropped a crepe when she first came to Paris.
‘Where I dropped my crepe and cried’
This is the last new Emily in Paris filming location in Paris as the rest of the season takes place in Rome, Italy where Emily explores with Marcello. Season 4 ends with yet another cliffhanger in ROME!
Will there be Emily in Rome next? What do you think?
